Spotify Announces In-App Artist Fundraising Feature
Spotify has announced Artist Fundraising Pick, a new feature for artists to fundraise money for themselves, their crew, or a verified charity during the COVID-19 crisis, directly through the app. Spotify partnered with Cash App to establish a $1 million relief fund for the feature, which artists can now use to add a Cash App, GoFundMe, or PayPal link to their Spotify landing pages.
Spotify’s tastemakers create 17 specialized podcast playlists
Spotify’s curated playlists are a treasure trove for music lovers seeking out new tunes and tracks they already like — now that easy discovery is coming to podcasts. From today, you’ll find editorially-curated podcast playlists covering all sorts of topics, including true crime, food, celeb drama, science and more.
The playlists will be curated by Spotify’s local content curators and updated regularly.
