⭐️ Daniel Ek signals plans for 'a much better version of Spotify'
CEO Daniel Ek outlined two things Spotify is doing to juice the growth of its free tier. “First, we’re intensifying our efforts to improve the impact of our marketing, and we believe there are a number of levers to pull over the upcoming quarters,” he told analysts.
“Second, we are prioritising enhancements in our free product pipeline that, based on existing performance in certain markets, should boost engagement and retention, especially in our developing markets.

⭐️ Spotify Sheds More 4 World Trade Center Space in Sublease to StubHub
Music streaming service Spotify shed three more floors at 4 World Trade Center.
Ticketing resale platform StubHub signed a sublease with Spotify for 103,000 square feet at the 72-story tower developed by Silverstein Properties, according to subtenant broker Savills.
⭐️ Billie Eilish is About to Make History by Crossing 100 Million Spotify Followers — Easily Blowing Past Taylor Swift’s Totals
Eilish was made for breaking records. The “bad guy” singer became only the third artist and the youngest overall to reach 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify back in June, achieving the feat with less than half the number of tracks in her catalog as the two artists who precede her, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
⭐️ Música Mexicana is getting its own series of Spotify Singles
According to Spotify, streams of Música Mexicana grew by 440% between 2018 and 2023, while streams of this regional Mexican music from Gen-Z listeners spiked by nearly 60% in the last year. You can thank the likes of Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera for that.
