Spotify’s Latest Updates Put You Back in Control of Your Music
Spotify rolls out simple upgrades that make a big difference
Spotify just made your daily listening a whole lot smoother, with a handful of updates that put more control right at your fingertips—without the extra taps.
From better playlist organization to smarter shuffle and more reliable offline listening, these tweaks are all about making the app feel faster, cleaner, and easier to use day to day.
You can now create playlist folders directly from your phone, making it easier to sort your music by mood, genre, or whatever vibe you’re chasing. Editing playlists is quicker too, thanks to new bulk actions that let you move or manage multiple tracks at once.
Premium users also get back multi-select controls in the queue—a small but powerful fix.
Offline listening is getting a boost on iOS, with downloads continuing in the background even when the app is closed. And when shuffle gets stale, a new “reshuffle” button lets you instantly mix things up without restarting the whole process.
Bottom line: less time organizing, more time listening.
